Pizza, everyone’s favourite treat. Whether you love a thin crust, enjoy it from your local takeaway, in front of the tele on a Saturday night or with the family in your local pizzeria, there’s something for everyone and it’s endlessly versatile. But how often do you make your own, recreating it yourself in your own kitchen, with all your favourite toppings? Making dough from scratch can be tricky, and even if you have the skill you don’t always have the time. That’s why we created The Northern Dough Co, mixing our range of delicious pizza dough in our family bakery, and freezing it into perfect dough balls so all you have to do is defrost it, give it a roll, pop on your favourite toppings and bake in the oven. From rolling to eating takes less than 20 minutes, less time than it would take for a takeaway to be delivered!
Our passion for fantastic food and enjoying spending time with friends and family led to us starting the company almost six years ago. We’d regularly host pizza parties at home when everyone would pile into our kitchen and create their own pizza, making quick and simple recipes that everyone loved, there were never any leftovers! When we realised pizza dough wasn’t available in the supermarket, we knew we had to do something about it and The Northern Dough Co was born!
The range uses only natural ingredients, and is available in classic Original, Rosemary, Chilli and Wholemeal versions which each lend themselves to creating lots of delicious recipes. We’ve been finding inspiration for toppings for years, and we still have huge lists of ideas we want to try! The combinations are endless, and everyone has a personal favourite, but some of our classic go-to recipes include a meaty loaded calzone with our Chilli dough, super simple crushed garlic and olive oil on our Rosemary dough for a fantastic flatbread starter, veggies and goats cheese on our Wholemeal dough for a guilt-free mid-week treat or for full-on-flavour, an all-day-breakfast on our classic Original dough. But rolling your dough flat is just the start, freshly baked dough sticks, still warm from the oven are perfect for your favourite dips, dough balls dunked into garlic butter never last long, and making mini pizzas with the kids is a great rainy Saturday morning activity that means lunch is sorted too!
We hope you’ll enjoy trying our pizza dough, there’s lots of inspiration on our Facebook and Instagram pages. Please post us your own recipe creations, we love seeing what you do and your pictures of you and your family enjoying having fun together in the kitchen!
Simply roll and create!
